Today I attended a meeting regarding the plan to hold the World Rally Championship (WRC) in North Sumatra. This meeting was attended by the Minister of @kemenpora Mas @ditoariotedjo, the General Chairperson of @imi_id Mr. @bambang.soesatyo, the President Director of @injourney lbu@mayawatono, @musa_rajekshah, and representatives from @officialwrc
On that occasion, an MoU was also signed between the WRC, the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI), and the Sports Fund and Business Management Institute (LPDUK). This collaboration aims to make the WRC a success as one of the largest automotive sports events in the world.
An international event such as the WRC will have a significant positive impact, including as a medium for promoting tourism, driving the economy, and a great opportunity for the younger generation. The involvement of young people in various sectors, such as event management, technology, and innovation in the automotive world, will open up space for creativity and provide valuable experience for them to compete at the global level.
The government will continue to support the implementation of international scale events so that Indonesia can become a main destination for various world activities, while also improving people's welfare through empowering the younger generation.
